It's a new day

Well it's been long time since my last blog post, A lot has happened in the last year, We have set up and closed at least 6 different Storefronts and sites, and are in the process of closing 3 more before summer. I too said I would never return to Ebay Stores, But after much thought and comparison I found that even though Fees are higher on Ebay than on many other sites, Ebay is still the most visited venue, Bar none.

We recently re opened our Store front at Ebay and in the last 30 days we have built our store to right around 600 items and have sold 60 items for a gross profit of a $1,000 , Not including any profit garnered from shipping. We just finished a year at Addoway and we just hit 100 sales. I think you can see why we returned to Ebay, They still aggravate with some of their policies, We are Power Sellers there and Have been for the last year as we still did auctions there, But the DSR's Make it hard to hold onto the Top Rated Sellers Icon, It only takes a little percentage to drop down below the required counts to lose the TRS Option, Hopefully by doing free shipping that will change shortly, Right now I miss the 32% saving on shipping by not being a TRS.

But all and all, It's all about sales, And Ebay Rocks when it come to sales, We've been selling now for 12 years and I had forgotten how good it felt to sell clothing again, Rarely did we sell clothing in any of the other venues we sold on. Don't get me wrong, I'm not here to knock any venues, I've been on just about all of them, But I would rather pay 20% fees on a $100,000 in sales than pay no fees on $5,000 in sales a year, It's all about numbers.

I know personally when I do a search for something I want to buy I first Google it and then Search Ebay to see whats available, I believe most buyers do the same.Since re opening our Store at Ebay sales have been 10 to one in comparison to other sites we are on, I've notice as I moved some items from other sites, That the items had very few hits over a years time, but sold within days in our Ebay Store.I've made up my mind where my energy is being focused.

Last year I started a Facebook group Originally known as "I Sold It Online" Which was the Avatar, But Facebook took away that Avatars with the new timeline set up, We are still there as "What Sold in World" We were able to see who and where folk were selling, It didn't take very long for us to see a pattern of clothing being sold in Ebay stores from different sellers, So after talking with other sellers, We took the plunge and are not looking back.

I know there are many sellers who do not look kindly on what is fondly known as Feebay, And I understand, But a famous quote from Kevin O'leary of the Dragons Den, It about the Money, If I'm going to spend countless hours listing items, Sales must come. Change is the only constant that never changes, LOL

Have a great day folks and keep on keepin on.    Larry  R Sales Online Group
